Our Mission Statement At Southport Pet Hospital we strive to provide the highest degree of medical and surgical treatment available for the best value. We are a general practice that has been serving the Southside of Indianapolis for over 35 years. We wish to educate the public about animal care and safety as well as protecting the public from zoonotic diseases. We provide prompt, friendly, quality service to our clients and their pets. We wish to grow and improve our medical and surgical treatments to better serve the community. There is always a doctor on staff or nearby to answer any questions posed. We have two staff members, one assistant and one receptionist, who are sufficient in performing the daily duties required to meet the needs of the hospital. Services Provided At Southport Pet Hospital we provide several medical and surgical treatments. As far as surgeries we routinely spay and neuter pets. We also provide other soft tissue surgeries depending on the needs of the patient. During surgery we monitor our patients with monitoring equipment and use the best anesthetics available for veterinary use. We have a fully equiped hospital and provide medical care and hospitalization. We provide emergency services; however, we are not a 24 hour emergency facility. We take emergency calls after hours at the doctor's discretion. We have our own in-house testing equipment which tests complete blood count, chemistry, blood gas and urinalysis. We also have a low cost vaccine clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the hours of 4-6 pm; however, these hours may be flexible. We also provide boarding facilities. We would be happy to schedule an appointment for you. Call us if you have an emergency or just need vaccinations because we are happy to serve you and your furry friend.
